Note that when the CSS3 [1] is released, it seems that a Multi-column
Layout Module [2] will be implemented, thereby nullifying your
proposal. CSS3 seems a very large step to climb to some, but it is a
step in the right direction. Also note that both BORDER and WIDTH are
deprecated due to the fact that CSS2.1 [3], the most current
Recommendation, can control those presentational aspects, among
others.

Just trying to get you caught back up with modern standards. ;-)

[1] http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-roadmap/  - A lot of this just leads back
to CSS2 standards which are already in place and being used. Only the
things new in CSS3 have a link to their respective CSS3 pages. I hope
I explained that well enough... ( - _ -' )
