[WWW-HTML Mailing List Archive Home] [Messages By Thread] [Messages By Date] Nesting of OPTGROUPs
From: Simon Hill <red_one@othersdietrying.com>
Date: Sun, 28 Sep 2003 23:42:46 +1000 To: html-w3c <www-html@w3.org> Message-Id: <1064756566.3014.12.camel@whistler> Currently, HTML 4 and XHTML 1.0 forbid the nesting of OPTGROUPs <!ELEMENT OPTGROUP - - (OPTION)+ -- option group --> But state: Note. Implementors are advised that future versions of HTML may extend the grouping mechanism to allow for nested groups (i.e., OPTGROUP elements may nest). This will allow authors to represent a richer hierarchy of choices. Is this planned for XHTML 2? Does XForms 1.0 already allow nesting of option groups?Received on Sunday, 28 September 2003 09:43:04 GMT |
